Biography
Parlee Erz, Parlee or Pali Erz is the pseudonym for British artist Graham Lawrie. Parlee is known for his illustrations and graffiti of comic and cartoon characters. He studied at Nottingham Trent University, receiving his Bachelors’s degree with Honors in Fine Arts in 1994. He is one of the founding members of a Graffiti group called The Essex Rockerz (ERZ) in 1986 which is still active today. Furthermore, he is involved with ‘Art is the Cure’ an organization in which his volunteers as a mentor for younger and aspiring street artists. Parlee is influenced by cartoons he watched during childhood alongside the Hip Hop and Graffiti culture he admired as a teenager. Although he has worked on canvas, he works primarily on Perspex which emphasizes the light and reflection of his characters.
