Artist’s Statement
'My work has always been influenced by music and sampling, so to compose a piece that combines my favourite songs with my love of comic book art and the human obsession with relationships seemed a natural progression of my style'.
Biography
Cept has been painting other people’s property since 1986 and has made a name for himself as a legend in the UK graffiti scene. His unique style mixes psychedelia with graffiti, pop culture, found images and off key color combinations. He has been making London look a lot more interesting for well over a decade now, and has been producing finely crafted screen prints and paintings on canvas since 2005. His work is featured in major international collections and has been exhibited worldwide. Cept was trained at Central Saint Martins, and continues to push the boundaries of graffiti writing and art in general, while maintaining a presence on our city walls and shutters.
